Vector Center CEO J. Carl Ganter Discusses Climate Change, Water, and the Future of Doing Business

At two conferences this fall, Vector Center CEO, J. Carl Ganter, lead and participated in workshops and discussions to advance the future of our planet.

First, at [Y]our 2040, Vector Center's CEO joined a "coalition of the willing... who are focused on information, inspiration, innovation and implementation to regenerate our planet, places + people."

According to event founder and coordinator Dr. Chris Luebkeman, "this two-day hybrid 'event' will bring us together to focus upon the ways in which we can create systemic change. We know that our planet is experiencing profound change. It is humanity’s survival 'bank account' and will soon be overdrawn. We must make a difference now."

At the second event, Ganter joined CEOs from around the world remotely to discuss the future of doing business in an increasingly water and climate change effected world. Ganter was joined by Don Pickering, Co-founder, CEO Emeritus & Director, Olis Robotics, and Ted Janulis, Founder & Principal, Investable Oceans, in the Water and Oceans session:"

Throughout history, water has defined the rise and fall of civilizations. And at this moment, water scarcity and supply disruptions together rank as the number one global risk to businesses, supply chains, economic growth, and geopolitical stability, according to the World Economic Forum. The systemic, immediate, and long-term impacts at the intersection of water, food, and energy in the changing climate have ranked even higher than pandemics. It’s happening now with a “megadrought” underway in the American West that is reshaping assumptions that have enabled one of the world’s largest regional economies, and in Madagascar, where climate-driven water disruptions have triggered devastating famine."
